PEDALS AND POINTS
Jules van Dongen burst onto the scene of professional darts and quickly became one of the top players in the US and one of two Americans tour card holders on the Professional World Circuit... then, suddenly, he could no longer hold a dart. We follow Jules on his journey of diagnosis, treatment, self-discovery and a return to the sport he loves.
The coast to coast bike ride is a vehicle that takes Jules on a journey down multiple paths; the calming, healing effect of the open air, a new, inspiring challenge to raise awareness and money for Dystonia, a chance for him to meet people and share his story while learning from others that have gone through similar challenges, and throughout this he'll be training himself to throw darts with his left hand and make a comeback, something that has never happened before in the world of professional darts. We'll ride along with Jules into the unknown, uncertain of what the future will bring and how the journey will leave him changed, but knowing that he has to keep moving forward when the easier option would be to quit and move on to something else.
