ABOUT THE FILM

Edison, a man with a once-perfect memory, races to solve a woman’s disappearance as his mind fractures. As reality collapses around him, Edison’s love of Shakespeare is his only anchor. Hunted through his own “headscape,” Edison uncovers a corporate conspiracy tied to his creations. Now, with the help of Harlow, Edison must confront the forces exploiting his genius—or risk losing himself entirely.

WRITER’S STATEMENT

At its heart, King of Infinite Space (a line from Hamlet) explores not only the dynamic relationship between Edison and Harlow, but also the grounding force of Shakespeare's words in Edison's life. The universality of Shakespeare's language, coupled with the fragility of memory and history, reinforces the project's central theme: what we stand to lose when we prioritize artificial intelligence over our shared humanity.

This project originated as a full-length stage play (produced by The Radical Buffoons Theatrical Troupe in New Orleans, LA) and has since transformed through various stages of development. As a short film, King of Infinite Space both stands alone as a short narrative and also serves as a proof of concept for a potential televised series. 

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

King of Infinite Space will be produced by a Dutchess County-based, women-led team of artists on location in a historic house in Beacon, NY. The film will be a collaborative effort by local Hudson Valley–based cast and crew members to create a dramatic sci-fi noir thriller with a visually rich, narrative-driven storytelling experience.
