ILENE MARDER HINCHEY (BOARD VICE PRESIDENT)
Ilene Marder Hinchey is a founding member of the WFF Board, having co-produced the first event of the first festival in 2000. She was WFF Press Director for some ten years and has worked 50+ years in press/broadcast news/media relations, including 8 years as an on-air NYS Capitol Reporter for WCBS News Radio 88. She was a spokesperson for Michael Lang and Woodstock Ventures for Woodstock’s 94 & 99, and ran the Press offices for both iconic music festivals. As part of the start-up team at WTZA, the HV’s 1st regional TV station, she worked with major sponsors and co-produced live events & TV spots; was highly successful as an arts & hospitality publicist and taught Media Relations to officials from developing countries via an international development group. During the past 18 years, she’s become well-known as a popular and accomplished Argentine Tango DJ. She was married twice to the late Congressman Maurice D. Hinchey and is the mom of NYS State Senator Michelle Hinchey.
