Flashforward
A man receives an important package containing a video showing him how he will be murdered at the party he has organized for that evening (by one of the guests, who is not recognizable). As soon as the party begins and two significant events preceding the murder are repeated exactly as seen in the video, he realizes he is in danger and will do everything he can to stop the murderer in time.
Flashforward is a suspenseful thriller set in a confined space.
The short film takes place in the 90s, and the main character is working on a mission to Mars.
The film will be between 26 and 28 minutes long.
This film is inspired by a concept: a character who can relive a moment or a day. This is also the case in Groundhog Day (1993) and in It’s a Wonderful Life (1946).
Here, however, this principle is realized in a different way: the video the protagonist sees is not a moment he has already experienced, but one that is yet to come. This raises the question: Will the protagonist manage to avoid his fate of being killed at the end of the evening? The suspense begins very early in the story and only ends at the end, once the question has been answered.
It is only by changing his usual way of doing things that the protagonist will be able to change the course of the evening and thus avoid being killed, as other characters in the film had expected him to behave differently.
As viewers watch the main character’s transformative journey, they are invited to reflect on their own journey—encouraging change.
