WFF Alumni Films Receive Record-Number of Oscar® Nominations & Several Golden Globe Wins

The Woodstock Film Festival is thrilled to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our friends on the world’s biggest stages. From official Academy Award® nominations to Golden Globe wins, this year’s selections spotlight the bold storytelling and creative excellence of WFF alumni films and filmmakers.

WFF Alumni Films Nominated for 98th Oscars®

Nominations for the 98th Academy-Awards® were announced on Thursday, January 22, and among the many WFF alumni films that landed on this year’s Oscars® shortlist, we’re excited to share that 17 films that screened at the Woodstock Film Festival this past year have been nominated across multiple categories, receiving a total of 43 nominations.

Winners at the 2026 Golden Globes

The 83rd Golden Globes aired on January 11, 2026, with several WFF alumni films taking home the top prize.

  • Best Motion Picture: Drama – HAMNET

  • Best Motion Picture: Non-English Language – THE SECRET AGENT

  • Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture: Drama – Jessie Buckley, HAMNET

  • Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Motion Picture: DramaWagner Moura, THE SECRET AGENT

  • Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role in Any Motion Picture – Stellan Skarsgård, SENTIMENTAL VALUE
