Woodstock Film Festival Welcomes Five New Members to Board of Directors

 

The Woodstock Film Festival is happy to welcome five new members to its board of directors, including Academy Award-winning filmmaker Roger Ross Williams, Vice President, Member Relations and Global Outreach at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Patrick Harrison, real estate broker Hayes Clement, financial manager Kevin Greene, and actor/writer/director Nicole Quinn. Their experience and passion for outstanding cinema and their business savvy will help expand our organization, now entering our 24th year and beyond.

ROGER ROSS WILLIAMS

Roger Ross Williams is an Oscar, Emmy, NAACP Image award, Webby and Peabody award-winning director, producer, writer, and the first African American director to win an Academy Award ®, with his film MUSIC BY PRUDENCE. Williams directed LIFE, ANIMATED, which won him the Sundance directing award, and was nominated for an Academy Award ® and won three Emmys. Williams is the recipient of the Career Achievement Award from the International Documentary Association, The Woodstock Film Festival Maverick Award, The NYU Alumni Achievement Award, and an honorary doctorate from Lafayette College. His production company One Story Up produced the acclaimed food series HIGH ON THE HOG, an adaptation of Ta Nehisi Coates’ BETWEEN THE WORLD AND ME the Ben Crump documentary CIVIL the award-winning film MASTER OF LIGHT and Williams first scripted feature CASSANDRO from Amazon Prime Video will World premiere at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival.

 
 

HAYES CLEMENT

Hayes Clement is a real estate broker and founding partner of the 14-agent Clement, Brooks & Safier Team at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Hudson Valley Properties. Before moving full-time to Kingston 15 years ago, he was a longtime executive for various media companies in New York, including Director of International Development at HBO; a strategy consultant for media clients at Price Waterhouse Coopers; and Associate Publisher of TENNIS Magazine and TENNIS.com. Locally, he has served as an Alderman on the Kingston Common Council and board president of Family of Woodstock Inc. He is currently chairman of the Ulster County Housing Development Corporation, a board member of the Kingston Local Development Corporation, and a member of the Ulster County Democratic Committee. He holds a B.A. from Duke University and an M.B.A. from the University of Virginia.

 
 

KEVIN GREENE

Kevin Greene is the managing partner of James Alpha Management, LLC, the family office of Denis J. Nayden. Greene is also Chairman & CEO of Tassat Group, LLC, a blockchain-based real-time payments platform, and Chairman of Easterly Funds, LLC, a liquid alternatives mutual fund platform,  He also serves as Chairman of FDX Capital, a FINRA registered broker-dealer, and FDX Offshore, LLC, a specialist in maritime finance and owner of Womar Logistics, a manager of shipping assets.  Greene’s other not-for-profit activities include serving as Trustee of Kaatsbaan Cultural Park and Brick Presbyterian Church and President of the Oratory Prep Foundation. Greene has a BA in Economics from Georgetown University, an MBA from New York University, and a Master’s in Public Policy from Harvard University.  His wife Hilary is a painter and designer and curates the sculpture and visual art exhibitions at Kaatsbaan. Hilary and Kevin have four children, Henry (26), Eleanor (24), Alice (16), and Lilly (15), all of whom attended The Woodstock Day School Summer Camp. Mr. Greene’s cousin founded and operated Sweet Sue’s in Phoenicia, New York, using the recipes provided to Sue by their grandmother.

 
 

NICOLE QUINN

Nicole Quinn has written scripts for HBO, Showtime, and network television. Her feature film, RACING DAYLIGHT (writer/director), stars Academy-Award winner Melissa Leo and Emmy winner David Strathairn. Her short plays are published by Playscripts, Inc. She produces/narrates audiobooks for Audible, an endeavor that began when she won a contest to read Neil Gaiman’s AMERICAN GODS.

 
 

PATRICK HARRISON

Patrick Harrison is the Vice President, Member Relations and Global Outreach at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. He is a dedicated film industry professional with over two decades of expertise in creative and engaging programming, event management, awards, and outreach. He is a demonstrated leader in diversity and inclusion efforts that celebrate and amplify the language and magic of the motion picture by seamlessly managing intersecting groups of stakeholders, artists, and audiences.
