Yesterday evening the Woodstock Film Festival held another special summer drive-in screening, this time of the film HOLLYWOODLAND at Greenville Drive-In Outdoor Cinema in Greenville, New York.

In attendance was the film’s director Allen Coulter, who kicked off the night with a conversation with friend and fellow filmmaker Katherine Dieckmann. Coulter spoke about his involvement with the project’s casting choices and how the film was primarily shot in Toronto, Canada despite being set in mid-century Los Angeles. Starring Ben Affleck, Adrien Brody, Diane Lane, and Bob Hoskins, HOLLYWOODLAND is a neo-noir that explores the events surrounding the mysterious death of THE ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN actor George Reeves in 1959.

One of television’s most in-demand directors, Coulter has directed episodes for some of the most critically acclaimed shows of the past two decades, including SEX & THE CITY, BOARDWALK EMPIRE, THE SOPRANOS, and many more.

Thank you to everyone who came out to last night’s screening and stay tuned for further updates on forthcoming events, including TESLA on Sept 2nd, and the upcoming 21st annual Woodstock Film Festival, happening September 30th - October 4th in area drive-ins and online.

Passes for the virtual part of this year’s film festival are now available for purchase HERE.
