Yesterday the festival kicked off with the World Premiere screening of Tarik Benbrahim's documentary about the renowned Palestinian musician, followed by an incredible performance by Shaheen and fellow musicians Tareq Rantisi and Firas Zreik. The audience was abuzz as the Woodstock Playhouse was filled with melody. And we're just getting started! Don't miss the more than 100 other films and events taking place through Oct. 6.

Debrah Eisenstadt’s film transports us into the mind of Kathy (Wendi McLendon-Covey), an obsessive-compulsive homemaker struggling to manage her relationship with her estranged family amidst a looming midlife crisis. Followed by a live performance by Robert Burke Warren. Oct. 3 at 7PM at Upstate Films Rhinebeck and Oct. 4 at 10:45AM at Upstate Films Woodstock.

A pregnant woman is stricken by a desire to consume dangerous objects, in this Catskills-set psychological thriller. Writer-director Carlo Mirabella-Davis has created a harrowing tale of modern life, keenly and compassionately observed. Oct. 4 at 6:45PM at Upstate Films Woodstock and Oct. 5 at 10:30AM at Upstate Films Rhinebeck.

Panel: Living and Filming in the Hudson Valley

Join filmmakers Carlo Mirabello-Davis (Swallow), Sarah Pirozek (#LIKE), John Swab (Run with the Hunted), and Aaron Weisblatt (Land of Little Rivers) to find out what made them choose the Hudson Valley as a place to settle down, or the ideal setting to produce their film.
