Lifetime Achievement Award to The Silence of the Lambs Editor

Film festival friend and alum, and Hudson Valley part time resident, Craig McKay, a 40 years veteran editor with Oscar nominations for The Silence of the Lambs and Reds, is receiving a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Eddie Awards, the American Cinema Editors Awards Gala, on Friday February 1st. Congratulations Craig on lifetime of amazing work!

“We call editing the invisible art. But that attitude doesn't recognize the contribution that an editor makes to a film. You can see camera work, acting, sets — but editing, most people aren't really aware of what's happening and how cumulatively that adds up. Our contribution is major, and it needs to be recognized more than it is.” - The Hollywood Reporter
