Several Festival Films Shortlisted for 2020 Oscars

The Academy just announced its shortlists for a handful of Oscar categories, with multiple films from this year’s Woodstock Film Festival in the mix!

Listed in the “Documentary Feature” category are HBO’s THE APOLLO, which screened at the official pre-kickoff event for the Woodstock Film Festival, and Netflix’s THE GREAT HACK, which the Festival hosted a sold-out special screening of in July.

Included under “International Feature Film” is Bong Joon-ho’s critically acclaimed PARASITE, which also received a nod for “Best Original Song”. Noah Baumbach’s MARRIAGE STORY, an audience favorite at Woodstock, was shortlisted for “Best Original Score”.

For shorts, Marshall Curry’s THE NEIGHBORS' WINDOW was listed for “Best Live-Action Short Film”.

From these curated lists, Academy members will select and announce the official nominees, including those in the rest of its categories, on January 13th, 2020. The 92nd Academy Awards Ceremony will be held on February 6th on ABC.
